The Percy Community Centre, in partnership with other local organisations, would like to organise a Community Street Party in New King Street this summer.
It would be held on Saturday 8th of August between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm and would require the closure of the street and suspension of parking. While it will be open to everyone, its focus will be on the residents of Kingsmead and Lansdown, specifically New King Street and the surrounding streets.
We held an open public consultation on Friday 15th of May and the response was 100% positive from those who attended.
The proposed party would form part of the National Play Day celebrations,
whose theme this year is 'Make Time for Play', and provide an opportunity for the whole community to come together and enjoy an afternoon of fun, activities and entertainment.
We will be making space available to other organisations to join us,
add to the fun and promote their services as part of this event.
